PROJECT DELIVERY

Design Build

One contract, one team. Ritch Electric takes your project from electrical design through construction and energization, no hand-offs, no finger-pointing.

Your project, from one-line diagram to energization

Design build puts design and construction under a single contract, with Ritch Electric responsible for both. You describe what the facility needs to do; we develop the electrical design, price it honestly, and build exactly what we drew, for commercial, institutional, and government facilities across Georgia and Alabama.

When the designer and the builder are the same company, there's no gap for problems to hide in. Questions get answered in the field, not routed through three firms.

The result is a faster schedule, fewer change orders, and one point of accountability from preconstruction through closeout. Every design build project is led by a dedicated project manager from the first meeting to the final inspection.

Site electrical work on a Ritch Electric project

Why choose design build with Ritch Electric:

Single accountability: design, budget, schedule, and construction under one roof
Faster delivery: construction can begin while later design phases are still being finalized
Cost certainty: builder input during design, before decisions get expensive to change
Fewer change orders: the builder helped draw the plans, so the plans match the build

Design build works for new capability and for upgrades alike, a generator addition, a facility rewire, a fire alarm replacement, or a full electrical scope on a renovation. If you can describe the outcome you need, we can take it from there.

Our proven process:

Preconstruction: needs, budget, and constraints established before any drawing starts
Design development: the electrical design engineered, priced, and reviewed with you at each stage
Construction: our own crews build to the drawings we produced, on the agreed schedule
Commissioning & closeout: testing, inspection, as-builts, and documentation delivered at turnover

Is design build only for large projects?
No. The single-contract model fits any scope where you'd rather describe the outcome than manage a designer and a contractor separately, from a tenant build-out or generator addition to a full facility electrical package.
Are your electricians licensed and insured?
Yes. Ritch Electric is fully licensed and insured, holding electrical contractor licenses in both Georgia and Alabama, and all work is performed under the owner's license. Every electrician is fully trained through the IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) apprenticeship-to-journeyman program, holds a journeyman electrician card, and is trained in OSHA, arc flash, confined space, and first aid/CPR, backed by $2M single / $10M aggregate bonding.
Do you handle government and military projects?
That's our specialty: 1,500+ DoD projects at Fort Benning, EM-385 safety compliance, Davis-Bacon payroll reporting, and full base access. SAM.gov active: UEI NQBFJML4BNK7, CAGE 0M006.
